A 5x10 (x8) cm Vertical Nest for Your Ant Colony

This nest has a nice big size to further expand your colony.
With multiple exits, it's easy to expand the nest even further as needed. 
You can enlarge it with other modules, or even place a heating cable underneath using our optional nest legs.

Included in this set:
- A PLA nest (3D printed) measuring 5x10cm  (3 layers high)
   height of the nest (without feet) is 8,5 cm
- A separate white removable inner part made of PLA (3D printed)
- A 3mm transparent plexiglass cover 
- 4 nest ports:
  • 3 closed ports to seal extra openings
  • 1 open port to connect the nest to an external world
- a Stainless steel mesh to keep ants out of the reservoir

• The white removable inner part is perfect if the exterior is a different color than white, ensuring you can always see the ants clearly.
• The nest is secured with Allen screws mounted in copper threads, making disassembly easy for tasks like cleaning the nest.
• The port with an opening can accommodate a small tube (OD 10mm) or a large tube (ID 12mm) (not included).
• The humidification chamber is covered with a stainless steel mesh to keep the ants out
you can add water on the back side with a pipette or syringe

OPTIONS:
• The nest is available in multiple colors.
• 3mm red (transparent) acrylic cover plate, providing darkness for the ants (in most cases) while allowing you to observe their progress.

• Additional types of nest ports can be purchased separately.

The modular system is easily expandable with other components. All modules have dimensions of 5 cm or multiples thereof (this one, for instance, is 5x10).
